General Information

Picture
Crane and plant assessments are provided at your own premises (or at a place of your choosing) on a time on site basis, travel time is charged ex Jandakot and a flat fee of $50 per crane is charged for CraneSafe Assessment forms, Annual Inspection Certificates, record keeping, photographic records and other documentation.

Clients are generally asked to provide for extended travel costs to and from site (including air travel) and reasonable accomodation outside driving distance from Perth. This is usually more practical, especially where company aircraft or minesite accomodation is concerned.

In addition to the completed CraneSafe  Assessment Report,  a Certificate of Annual  Inspection  is issued which allows you to comply with your obligation to have you cranes and plant assessed annually by an independant competent person.

For some assessments a line pull test is conducted and therefore a variety of test weights (or known weights)  will be needed on site to ensure the correct weight is used for the line pull test on each winch.  A suitable clear area is also required to set up the crane or plant for assessment and this will be determined by the size of the crane being inspected. A suitably experienced operator is required to demonstrate the machine at the time of inspection.

Please note:

Safe Crane Services Pty Ltd, by agreeing to assess any crane or plant do not automatically ensure the issuing of a "Greensticker".  Only those machines that meet the CraneSafe Inspection Criteria will pass the assessment and a "Greensticker" may then be issued by CraneSafe.  Any machine that does not meet the assessment criteria will need to be repaired and re-assessed before a "Greensticker" can be issued by CraneSafe.  In some cases this may incur a further charge but  Safe Crane Services Pty Ltd  will endeavour to keep these costs to a minimum.
